A 2-ton Shop Crane for $160

It is winter here, and while getting bored I was looking for shop cranes, engine hoists or cherry pickers for my garage to purchase just in case I may need it in the future. Someone 15 miles away was selling one for $160 with light surface rust. So I went to check it out.

Buying New Jack Stands

Harbor Freight had all their jack stands recalled. I returned all the jack stands I had and took store credit. So I was in the market for new jack stands and wanted something more sturdy that would not have the problems that the Harbor Freight jack stands were recalled for.

So I went with Pro-Lift T-6906D 6-ton jack stands with double locking pins as that would be much safer to use on my cars. This would also enable me to change wheels or brake pads on my parent’s vehicles which are the compact crossover SUVs. A mid-rise lift in my garage !

It is winter here, so I have not done any work on the Miata in January and February of 2019, but I did continue doing research and looking for the right tools. And lo and behold, I found a car enthusiast, who had 11 cars , who was selling his mid-rise lift on Craigslist for under a $1000 with delivery – a great deal !!! I cannot say I have been more excited to purchase a tool this useful.
